An outdoor performance in which the angels of Dah Theater come to a place in the city that needs to be cleansed of history and perform their "ritual" of cleansing. As the sun sets, four figures appear carrying the tools of modern ritual: brooms, newspapers, a bucket, and a pillow. A gramophone is playing somewhere. Music is calling. It's time to go back. [1998]
This open-air performance sees the return of the Dah Theater angels who appear at a specific location in a city that needs to clean up its history. Arriving in the form of warriors and vagabonds, the angels study the city's biography, measure it and mark it for cleansing. When the cleaning is done, the angels dance and prepare to leave.
""We toyed with the idea of cleansing from history because we think we can't move forward until we become aware of the layers of history that happened here, and which is very often stormy, bloody and difficult. In the play, we cleansed ourselves of history, and we also cleansed history itself. In another sense, it could mean that we played a healing process." - Dijana Milošević, director
