From June 21-24, 2001, DAH Theater celebrates ten years of its existence. The first theater laboratory in FR Yugoslavia, at the time of its creation, broke through the barrier of institutional organization of theater and traditional theater language with its work and existence.
INTERNATIONAL MEETING OF THEATER ARTISTS
In its artistic process, DAH Theater pushes the limits of modern expression in our country and expands the concept of theater to include movement, dance and music, which become an integral part of the performance. Today we can say that thanks to the existence and persistence of DAH Theater, the circle of theater companies has expanded, so for the first time we can talk about the existence of a non-institutional contemporary theater scene in these areas. It is certain that our work was an inspiration and support to our colleagues who opted for this type of theater. DAH Theater is also one of the founders of the Association of Independent Theaters - ANET, in Belgrade.
The wider activities of DAH Theatre, workshops, guest performances, festivals, united in the CENTER FOR THEATER RESEARCH - have always been organized with the awareness of the need for this environment to open up, get acquainted with different trends and learn from artists who already represent the tradition of contemporary theater of the 20th century. In recent years, the workshops that we have organized, both our own and guest's, have been one of the oases of learning for young theater artists in Serbia.
