ARTS AND HUMAN RIGHTS



The second festival, starting on February 24 and lasting until February 27, 2022 is conceived as a platform for initiating and presenting ideas and concepts that prioritize and connect art and human rights, advocate for respect for human rights, the rights of all living beings, and the development of this idea in Serbia.


ART IN ACTION




This year's edition is subtitled Art in Action, with the aim of encouraging and empowering citizens to take an active role in changes in their communities, and for artists and human rights defenders to connect with each other and with the wider community. The festival includes individuals and organizations working on the international scene and in our country, communicates with citizens, revitalizes communities, and connects diversities.

The program includes
workshops, an installation, performances, concerts, discussions, the conference "Art and Culture in Affirming Human Rights”, a film premiere, and a book promotion.

Festival participants come to Belgrade from Spain, Israel, Montenegro, Kosovo, Ireland, and Serbia, and artists from Iran, Belgium, and Brazil will join us online and present their work.












The festival opens with an interactive multimedia installation by DAH Theatre,
YOU MUST BE A ZENITHIST! designed for gallery/museum spaces, which reflects on the legacy of an authentic avant-garde artistic movement from our region – Zenism.


The program takes place live at several locations in Belgrade: UK Parobrod, N.EON Gallery, Dorćol Platz, Mestašce, Ilija M.Kolarac Endowment, KROKODIL, and the National Theater in Belgrade, while adhering to all health measures and the permitted number of gatherings.
