NETWORKING MEMORIES

The purpose of the project is to create a new and sustainable network between 8 civil society organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Kosovo and Serbia (Dah Theater), which aims to involve citizens in the conception and implementation of joint activities. The NETWORKING MEMORIES project aims to research memories of the time of Yugoslavia among people of the younger generation who never actually lived in it - that's why these memories and feelings, although strong, are borrowed (from parents, family, school, media). As a result of this specific work, a unique MUSEUM OF MEMORY and a theatrical performance will be created from the artifacts and stories of the participants. The project was implemented in Pristina, Sarajevo, Belgrade, Rome and Trentino.[2011-2012]

BORROWED MEMORIES
Play - premiere on June 30, 2012 in the DAH Theater

A play inspired by memories of Yugoslavia, memories of young people who didn't actually live in it.

Part One: YU TUBE

Cast: Predrag Kotur, Sonja Mladenov, Slobodan Roksandić, Milica Stefanović

Text and direction: Aleksandra Urošević

Collaborator on the text: Jeton Neziraj

Scenography: Ivan Lovre

Closeness is inevitably born from any relationship that has a history. Even conflict creates closeness. With this play, we ask where that closeness goes after parting. We take the past as the cause and the present as the consequences. We look at the past from the present perspective and for the umpteenth time we conclude - "maybe we are done with the past but the past is not done with us" [from the film Magnolia, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.] In a time where we are discussing what belongs to whom, we conclude that at least no one can take away our memories and the right to nostalgia, it belongs to everyone.

Part Two: FAREWELL

Dramaturgy and choreography: Sanja Krsmanović Tasić

Texts by actors and research participants: Muhamed Filipović, Georgi Stardelov, the group RITAM NEREDA, Karl Marx, Marko Raguž, Jeton Neziraj and Sanja Krsmanović Tasić

Four actors through the characters of the Mother of Serbia, the Resurrected Earth that had the sea, the One who Believes, and the Sacrificed Son go through the FEELING ritual. What is it that needs to be sent away, in order to welcome the new and different, and perhaps - better? How to get out of the vicious circle of our cursed inheritance? Have we sent enough sons and daughters to "fight for our people" or to some distant country where a better life is possible? It's time to get ready for a joyful welcome, there were enough farewells.

We would like to thank Boris Čakširan, Ivona Tomić, Iva Musović.
