DREAMS AND OBSTACLES

The form of the play "Dreams and Obstacles" represents an experiment, i.e. a fusion between an autobiographical performance and a demonstration of work and deals with the theme of "becoming" an artist. It follows the development of a dream and its realization on stage. Through the personal stories of the artists, historical events of our country are reflected, which influence and change the course of development of young performers, and in that combination of personal "small" and official "big" histories, they "become". During the two decades of its existence, DAH Theater has created its own specific handwriting and way of working, which is based on the transmission of knowledge, constant professional development and "learning to learn".

An important goal of this play is to make the viewer aware of the fact that history affects our most personal lives and how important it is to take responsibility. This performance by Dah Theater also aims to reveal a part of the creative process in the theater, thereby instructing interested artists in some different techniques of making a play, as well as to interest the audience in new theatrical forms.

The play premiered on December 27 and 28, 2012 at the DAH Theater.

Used texts from the plays of DAH Theater: KOD Nastasijević - Stanislav Vinaver, Momčilo Nastasijević; Crossing the line - "Women's side of the war"; A story about tea - AP Chekhov "Three Sisters"; Non/visible city – Zuzana Halupova; Gentle, gentle, gentle - parts of the lyrics from the songs of the musical groups Ekaterina Velika and Charlo the Acrobat were used.
