The work demonstrations at DAH Theater aim to reveal part of the creative process in the theater, thereby guiding interested artists in some techniques of making a performance, as well as interesting the audience in new theatrical forms. The work process on a performance in a theater like DAH Theater lasts for months, and during that period, the actors work in parallel on improving their own skills and creating materials from which the character being worked on for a specific performance is gradually built. Often these two processes intertwine, and from work that began with the aim of developing a specific acting training, a role is often reached; and conversely, from materials that are created with the aim of building a specific character, a technique or skill is reache, which can later be developed regardless of the role and the performance. Therefore, these presentations have a form and effect on the audience that borders on the performance.

Presentation of the work process of actress Maja Mitić during her work on her roles in DAH TEATAR performances. [1998 – 2006]

FLAME OF FIRE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA

The actress has been in the company since its founding, and the presentation was created in 1998 and has been constantly developing.

“Nestled in the veil of research in the art to which I belong, I often encounter strong, warm, frightening, and deep feelings, colors, thoughts, and memories. These encounters are faith in what I do because without them I could not meet
myself. For me, working at DAH Theater is like a deep sea expanse at the bottom of which I try to maintain a flame that elevates me above my own life” – Maja Mitić

The actress reveals to us various procedures that led from cold technical work to the gradual construction of living characters.
