ART AND HUMAN RIGHTS FESTIVAL 2025
Belgrade 10 – 13 June 2025
THINKING PEACE
For the fourth time, the "Art and Human Rights" Festival of DAH Theater opens the door to art that speaks, moves, and connects.
Under the theme "Thinking Peace", we are gathering creators from all over the world with a common goal - freedom, dignity, respect for human rights and the rights of all living beings. This year's festival invites participants and audiences to jointly reflect not only on the absence of war
, but also on the active presence of justice, human dignity, and positive peace.
Our festival will present artists from Montenegro, France, Greece, Croatia, the Netherlands, Italy, Palestine/Czech Republic, Israel, North Macedonia, Nigeria, Russia, Syria, USA, Taiwan, Ukraine
and Serbia.

ON THE PROGRAM
PERFORMANCES, FILMS, TALKS, INSTALLATIONS, EXHIBITION, CONCERT, WORKSHOP
Through various art forms, the festival asks the questions: How to think about peace in a world full of conflict? How can art contribute to building a more just society? How do we remember, confront, and heal through artistic expression?
In addition to the performing arts program, this year you can watch films, installations, participate in round tables and talks by artists and peace builders from the region and beyond, and view an exhibition. A workshop for young people will offer creativity
tools for thinking about peace.
In a time of great and necessary changes in our society, as well as in a global geopolitical context marked by wars, dictatorships and daily human rights violations around the world, art has the power to open the way to empathy, solidarity
and dialogue, which are irreplaceable features of social justice that leads to peace.
Amidst the harsh reality of life under occupation, art remains our form of resistance and our voice that cannot be silenced.
Al-Harah Theater, Bethlehem
We are all scattered around the world, in different geographical areas, with very different realities, so whenever we are able to overcome physical distance and come together in person, it is always deeply meaningful and precious.
