FESTIVALS AND MEETINGS
Dah Theater Center for Theater Research creates festivals and meetings as a place of exchange between domestic and international artists, experts, cultural managers, various organizations and initiatives with audiences of all ages.
From June 10 to 13, the theme of this year's festival is "Thinking Peace". The program will include theater productions, workshops, installations, concerts, talks and films from Brazil, Croatia, France, Macedonia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Israel, Jordan, the Czech Republic, Taiwan and Serbia.
Prologue - the program that announces the "Art and Human Rights" festival in June 2025, this year has the theme "Thinking Peace", which is also the theme of the Festival. How to think peace in times of numerous conflicts and what are the characteristics of peace that is not just the absence of war. We talk online with female artists from Palestine and Lebanon about their artistic practice in war zones.
The third edition of the Festival, 20-24. June 2023, is inspired by Martin Nimmüller's poem "The First Came" and connects artists and human rights defenders with each other and with the wider community. Artists and activists come from Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Kosovo, Norway, Italy, Serbia and the USA.
PROLOGUE 2022
On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day 2022, we present the PROLOG program of the ART AND HUMAN RIGHTS 2023 festival. During the Prologue, we will try to answer one of the burning questions: What can art and activism do in light of human rights violations today? Guests from Iran, Russia, Israel and the USA.
ARTS AND HUMAN RIGHTS 2022
From February 24 to 27, 2022, in Belgrade. The second edition of the festival, which was designed as a platform for launching and presenting ideas and concepts that put and connect art and human rights in the foreground, advocate for equal human rights, as well as the development of that idea in Serbia.
BRIDGING THE CENTURIES 2021
From June 23 to 27, DAH Theater celebrates 30 years of work and presents all the plays in the repertoire, as well as an exclusive play by Roberta Carreri from the Odin Theatre. The program includes meetings, talks, performative lectures and concerts.
ARTS AND HUMAN RIGHTS 2020
The festival is conceived as a platform for initiating and presenting ideas and concepts that bring art and human rights to the fore and connect them. The program consists of performances, shows, films, installations, workshops, debates and meetings between artists, activists and the audience. A special part of the festival will be the Conference "Art in challenging contexts from the point of view of gender equality".
BEEING/BECOMING 2016
Festival and conference on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of DAH Theatre, from June 30 - July 3, 2016. A theater platform where, through examples of permanent artistic collectives, in the form of dynamic conversations, plays, workshops and performances, through live meetings with artists and eminent professors from the country and abroad, ways of survival and duration of contemporary theater art will be explored.
PASSING THE FLAME 2011
Festival and conference on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of DAH Theatre, 11-18. June 2011
"Transferring the flame" is a project that consists of a festival and a conference, the topics of which are the teaching of knowledge in the field of theater art, the meeting of generations, the importance of duration and continuity in the culture of a country, as well as how knowledge in this art, which exists only at the moment when it is performed, can be recorded, transmitted to others and preserved for the future.
BE IN BELGRADE 2005
Meeting of the Balkan Express network at the DAH Theater Center for Theater Research, from 15-17. March 2005 with the topic "Position of theater in regional changes", within the IETM 29th Annual Plenary Meeting held in Belgrade. The meeting brought together participants - performers, directors, producers, managers, cultural policy makers, from Southeast Europe (Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia), Slovenia, Turkey, Italy and France.
FORUM OF INDEPENDENT THEATERS 2003
Conference "CONTEMPORARY PERFORMING ARTS AND CULTURAL / MEDIA POLICY IN SERBIA", 5-11. December, Cultural Center of Belgrade (in cooperation with the Association of Independent Theaters - ANET).
The conference brought together professional artists and experts in the field of performing arts who discussed topics related to the status of contemporary non-institutional theater in our country. The program includes a Butho theater workshop led by Katsuro Kan from Japan. With the support of the Secretariat for Culture of the City of Belgrade and cooperation with the Cultural Center of Belgrade and the Belgrade Drama Theatre.
THEATRE AS A PATH OF HEALING

The festival and conference "Theatre as a way of healing" brought together an international group of artists and theoreticians who, in their work, deal with issues of healing and transformation of difficult experiences using theater techniques.
What is the role and power of theater and art in exploring content related to healing and reconciliation? What is the power of art in dealing with crimes committed in our name? What are the ways to heal "wounds" made during the past period in our region?

DURATION AND TRANSFORMATION 2001
International theater meeting and festival that marked 10 years of work of DAH Theatre. Realized in cooperation with the National Theater and the Cultural Center REX from Belgrade.
In addition to theatrical performances and work presentations, the round table gathers eminent domestic and foreign artists, who will exchange opinions on the mentioned topic through aspects of their experience and the current cultural situation in Europe as well as in Israel and the USA.

SURVIVAL STRATEGIES 1999
The festival from September 22 to 26 presented performances by members of the Association of Independent Theaters, and on September 27, a forum was held in the Bitef Theater with the theme "Different aspects of the work and existence of the independent theater scene in Belgrade." The round table with the topic of "Strategies of survival" at which Euđenia Barba was discussed, in Atelier 212, marked the beginning of the activities of the newly founded Association of Independent Theaters-ANET (Ister Theater, DAH Theater, Plavo pozorište, Omen Theater, ErgStatus, Swan Theater).
