ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM
RESEARCH. CREATE. CONNECT.
DAH Theater invites local and international artists to develop, explore and realize new ideas through our artist-in-residence program. Are you an actor, dancer, director, performer, researcher, musician, writer, media artist — or part of an artistic collective?
YOUR IDEA NEEDS SPACE
This is your time and space to work on your own project, experiment, research and create — with the support of the artistic team of DAH Theater and the opportunity to connect with artists and the contemporary art scene in Belgrade.
The residence provides:
→ development of a new play or project
→ mentoring
→ artistic research and experimentation
→ interdisciplinary and research-based processes
→ rehearsals and testing of new works
→ workshops and creative exchange
→ development of artistic materials and concepts
You bring the idea. We provide space, time, mentoring and a creative environment for her development.
Work independently or with your team. Meet local artists and cultural practitioners. Exchange ideas, methods and perspectives. Become part of a growing network of contemporary artists and international collaborators.
The residency program supports project development in a focused environment for one week to one month.

When I was offered to work with DAH Theater, and after spending three summers at their school, I again found myself among artists who are dedicated, experienced and politically aware. These three qualities have become the main ones for me ever since I first entered their theater in 2009, and are most likely the reason why I feel at home every time I come. The great passion, love and knowledge associated with the work of this group, as well as the spheres of conversation in which I constantly find myself: European politics, engagement and the great need for art, created the need to not only spend more time in their environment, but also to exchange my work with people who inspired me so much.

Through this program, DAH Theater continuously expands the long-term platform for international cooperation, artistic dialogue and the development of new creative practices.
