PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH

Dah Theater - The Center for Theater Research pays great attention to the pedagogical aspect of the work in an effort to provide young people with a starting point for their development in contemporary theater.

BETTER THAN A GAME [2008 – 2009]

The performance "Bolje od igre" was created as a result of cooperation between DAH Theater and students of the 5th and 7th grades of "Kralj Petar II Karađorđević" Elementary School.

From September 2008 to March 2009, workshops were held twice a week for school students led by Jugoslav Hadžić and Ivana Milenović.

The play premiered on March 21, 2009, on the occasion of the school day, directed by Maja Mitić. Based on the text of Biljana Lazarevski. Video and sound Jugoslav Hadžić.

On April 15, 2009, NU "Božidar Adžija" in cooperation with the Vračar Municipality Assembly and the Fund for Talented Children of Vračar, at the competition of gifted children of primary schools from Vračar, the performance "Bolje od igre" received a SPECIAL AWARD for a modern creative approach, creativity and overall performance!

THIS IS WHO WE ARE [2004 – 2005]

The project includes the DAH Theater Youth Drama Studio, Roma children from Vračar and those gathered around the Roma Cultural Center in Mali Mokro Lug. The project lasted eight months and is a workshop and research work in the framework of topics that concern young people, with special reference to the moment of "transition" in which we find ourselves.

PHASE I: THIS IS ME - EYES WIDE OPEN (April-June 2004) It includes work with young people from the DAH Theater Drama Group and will result in a performance of the same name.

PHASE II: THIS IS US (September 2004 – January 2005). It includes work within drama workshops with children of Roma and non-Roma nationality, in which young people from the drama group were involved as collaborators.

The finale of the project is a performance involving all participants.
