The youth project “THIS IS WHO WE ARE” includes the Drama Studio for Youth of DAH Theatre, Roma children from Vračar, and those gathered around the Roma Cultural Center in Mali Mokri Lug. The project lasted eight months and represents workshop and research
work within topics concerning young people, with a special focus on the moment of “transition” in which we find ourselves. Partner organizations in this project are the group “Hajde da…” and ERGstatus Dance Theatre from Belgrade.
The project took place in two phases:
PHASE I: “THIS IS ME – WIDE OPEN EYES” (April – June 2004.) It includes work with young people from the DAH Theatre Drama Group and will result in a performance of the same name.
PHASE II: “THIS IS WHO WE ARE” (September 2004 – January 2005.) It includes work within drama workshops with children of Roma and non-Roma nationality, which also included young people from the drama group as collaborators.
The culmination of the project was a performance that included all participants.
