FASHIORATION

Fashioration is an Erasmus+ project that aims to create a method to support young designers and empower them to start their own businesses. [2022-2023]

The project focuses on modernizing cultural heritage and tradition, and the ways in which they can be modernized with contemporary means and given a new lease of life. In this way, we will bring tradition closer to younger generations and thus
save it from oblivion. The project will develop a methodology that will train and develop the skills of young people. The project coordinator is KENTRO SPOUDON LAIKOU THEATROU from Athens, and in addition to DAH Teatar, partners from
Greece – Action Synergy SA, Montenegro – Foundation for the Promotion of Science “PRONA”, Albania – Together For Life Shoqata and Bosnia and Herzegovina – BOSNIAN REPRESENTATIVE ASSOCIATION FOR VALUABLE OPPORTUNITIES (Bravo) are participating in the project.

two-day workshop dedicated to the modern interpretation of Balkan folk costumes, 11. and March 12, 2023.

The workshop is intended for students of secondary art and vocational schools in the field of textiles and clothing, as well as students of art faculties.

On the first day, through a tour of the permanent exhibition of the Ethnographic Museum, participants will learn about the historical context and segments of folk costumes represented in our region, after which they will have the opportunity to create their own fashion sketches inspired by
elements of folk costumes. On the second day, based on the collected material and inspiration, participants will individually or in groups create one item of clothing (or a model of an item of clothing). The best works will be exhibited as part of
a fashion exhibition in Belgrade and Athens.

The workshop leaders are Dr. um. and costume designer Ivana Tomić, Master of Costume for Opera and Ballet and illustrator Danilo Cerović, and Master of Applied Arts Ferenc Varga. The curator
Ana Stanimirović will guide the participants through the permanent exhibition of the Ethnographic Museum.
